Welcome
Little Goat Hill is my small hobby farm located in historic Lambertville, NJ. I raise registered Nigerian Dwarf and Pygora goats for milk and fiber. The herd has tests clean of Caprine Arthristis Encephalitis (CAE), Caseous Lymphadenitis (CL), Johne's Disease (Paratuberculosis), and Brucellosis. Additionally, I am involved in our local 4-H club and show yearly at the Hunterdon County 4-H & Agricultural Fair.
My goal is to raise structurally correct animals capable of strong production while still maintaining their health as my top priority. I seek out opportunities to expand my animal husbandry skills regularly and I am always looking for the next thing to improve upon. My philosophy is to always respect the animal and what they have to offer, wether that be their products or a lesson learned.
Disease prevention is the cornerstone of my herd health plan. By simply being aware of the health and condition of each individual animal within my herd in the most objective way possible, much can be avoided.
"Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds." - Proverbs 27:23
